First there was Guitar Hero, and then there was Guitar Hero World Tour where you can make a complete band! What a blast it is for people who want to be able to pretend they are in a band and playing music without having to know how. Even casual gamers can pickup a guitar and enjoy this immensely successful gaming series their first time playing.

Guitar Hero World Tour is for all major gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 2 and 3, and has sold millions of units to happy gamers. The game is fun for the whole family, but it comes with a heft pricetag! Guitar Hero World Tour sells in stores for $130-$150 so it's not a small investment by any means.

The one major problem with the World Tour game is that the cable for the cymbals on the drum kit are too short and at least one of them WILL break on your drums if it hasn't done so already! What can be done to repair it once it breaks or fix the problem before it happens? Thanks to the wonders of the internet, it's quick and easy to get the part you need and fix it yourself. A simple Google search for guitar hero world tour cymbal cable will lead you to not only the repair part but also instructions via text as well as video.

Why is it that people have to take it into their own hands to remedy this problem, why doesn't the manufacturer create a cable that will fix the problem instead? It's hard to say exactly, but it's possible that it would cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in warranty repairs and administration costs to voluntarily replace the poorly designed cable. It's possible they won't do anything unless there is a class-action lawsuit and a recall on the drum set, so why not grab a redesigned replacement cable and do it yourself for $10 or less?

The great thing about the internet for consumers is that the information and parts are readily available to solve problems like this. The bad part about the internet for the manufacturer is that the consumer can easily learn just how big the problem is, and it makes the manufacturer look bad if they are nowhere to be seen when it comes to the solution! When searching online I only see redesigned aftermarket repair cables for this problem, it doesn't look like the manufacturer is going to address the issue unless they are forced to.

Once you get your cable, you will easily find step by step video instructions on Youtube and you will be able to complete your repair in no time at all! You won't have to worry about trying to mail in your drum kit and have it repaired, you will be able to be up and playing again in 10-15 minutes time all thanks to the wonders of the internet. It makes me wonder sometimes what we used to do before we had all this information at our fingertips, and what are things going to be like in another ten years from now?

Good luck with your Guitar Hero World Tour cymbal cable repair, I hope this information helps!
